In 1959 Eddie Cochran released ‘Somethin’ Else’. In 1979 Sid Vicious covered it. In the early 80s Casio released the MT-40 keyboard, which used the tune for a ‘Rock’ preset. In 1985 Jamaican dancehall artist Wayne Smith distorted that preset on ‘Under Me Sleng Teng’, creating the famous Jamaican ‘Sleng Teng Riddim’.
