South Carolina Governor Mark Sanford decided to go hiking for a week without telling anyone.

So distraught over his state supreme court overruling his wishes to NOT accept stimulus funds, the weakest governor of the US sets off on the Appalachain Trail. The trail is slated to recieve a $650,000 makeover, thanks to the stimulus package.

The Appalachian Trail doesn’t run through South Carolina.  Therefore he didn’t fight against stimulus funds for the Appalachian Trail.  And just because one doesn’t approve of stimulus funding doesn’t mean they should have to boycott everything that gets stimulus funds.  I’m the direct “beneficiary” of $400 million and I think the ARRA is fucking silly.

Once again the Huffington Post makes a stupid fucking point.

Also, I can completely understand the desire to get out there, go hiking and get outdoors. More people need to do it (myself included)…it’s good for the soul.
