Star Wars ~ A Deal Breaker?
un:
I had never mentally placed “Star Wars” and “deal breaker” together - before today, that is. I stumbled upon a poll on Apartment Therapy, wherein a reader had submitted a question regarding a significant other’s Star Wars collection, the poll that the website had placed underneath was “Would living WITH a Star Wars Collection be a deal breaker for you?”
Whaaaa? My poor brain just could not… would not wrap around that question. How could a collection of memorabilia from such a wonderful series of films be a bad thing? Granted, I’m coming from a rather biased position here… I currently have a glass-doored china cabinet devoted to Star Wars ~ toys, vintage books, statues, video & movie cases, playing cards, colouring books, boxed action figures, art, etc. in my living room. At the foot of my bed, below my mirror, there sits a large AT-AT (named Stampy). Hanging in my closet, staring at me, is my Yoda backpack.
The top shelf of my cabinet ^
I guess what I am wondering is, would a large collection of Star Wars items be a deal breaker in a relationship for you? What about different fandoms, such as Star Trek, Lord of the Rings, Anime/Manga, Harry Potter?
Anyone who doesn’t accept your passions and hobbies and you as you are is a deal breaker.
