After I sent this, a friend texted me, asking if I was drunk. I was not.
Black bears: Wave your arms, make noise, clap, etc. They will scare right off.
Grizzlies: Play dead - Aren’t too many left in the lower 48 though - only in a few regions (Montana/Wyoming/Yellowstone).
